Police say two people were rushed to the hospital in critical condition Sunday night after a crash in Kapahulu.
It happened just after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Kilauea Avenue.
Investigators say a Smart Car driven by a 42-year-old woman from Honolulu was traveling westbound on Kilauea Avenue when she failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection and drove into the path of a motorcycle. The motorcycle hit the passenger side of the car.
The Smart Car then drove into a parked vehicle that was unoccupied.
The woman suffered head and internal injuries. The 24-year-old Kailua man riding the motorcycle also suffered head and internal injuries.
Police are investigating if speed or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
