Legalizing marijuana for export. A proposal to do just that here in Hawaii has a lot of you talking - and pretty divided - tonight. Yesterday, we told you about how State Rep. Rida Cabanilla wants to make marijuana cultivation legal in Hawaii for export to countries where it is legal. She says Hawaii should capitalize on it's reputation for growing some of the world's best buds. But Gordon Cory doesn't like the plan, saying it's "Asking for more trouble than it's really worth.... There are other ways to generate revenue, if that's what they are after." Jessyca Gibson writes, "Cultivate it and keep it in the U.S. for dispensaries and marijuana patients. I agree with the cultivation in Hawaii, but disagree with exporting it." And Milton Miyasato adds, "Legalize it here and we won't need to export it. The revenue from the local sale of marijuana would be great." Cabanilla's bill has ten co- sponsors, including House Speaker Joe Souki and Majority Leader Scott Saiki. We want to know what you think of her proposal. Head to facebook, and weigh in.
