Trends & Talkers: Honolulu traffic tanglesUPDATED 7:58 PM HST Mar 05, 2014Video Transcript
you talking tonight. Honolulu has the second worst traffic in the country, according to the INRIX National Traffic Scorecard Annual Report, second only to Los Angeles. Yesterday we told you about how Honolulu drivers spent 60 hours of wasted time in traffic last year, up 10 hours from 2012. Think about it - in that time you could run 15 marathons, sleep for a week or even watch 30 UH basketball games. Honolulu is only behind Los Angeles, which had 64 hours of wasted time in traffic. Louis Maiava writes, "That's why we need rail!" But Rico Rivera counters, "Everyone who thinks rail is going to solve anything, deserves to get smacked. Maybe it will decrease some traffic, but it isn't going to change much!" Charlotte Kaukani reasons, "Stuck in traffic in Hawaii sure beats stuck in traffic anywhere else!!! What do you think can be done to alleviate our traffic mess? Will rail bump us down the list? Head to facebook, like us, and let us know.
