Trends & Talkers: Black Friday Store HoursUPDATED 12:00 AM HST Nov 13, 2013Video Transcript
Thanksgiving morning. TAKE OPENS SOUND UNDER Those are just a few of the many retailers opening earlier this year. On facebook today we asked, "How do you feel about retailers opening their doors on Thanksgiving day?" The responses flooded in, including this one from Hatsumomo who says, "Not stoked. I am a retail supervisor and have to work 8a-4p Thanksgiving day and then 2a-1030a on Black Friday. My stores hours are determined by our mall. I'm very upset that I can't spend Thanksgiving with my family and friends." Amber Alexander writes, "I don't shop on thanksgiving no matter how good a sale it is, I believe everyone should be at home with their families. Other people should follow." But Patty Kawai thinks, "It will be great for people who want to jump into sale prices, it was going on for years because people love to shop on holidays, get the best gift and many other things." Where do you stand on this - do you like the idea of shopping early, or should Thanksgiving be reserved just for family and football? Head to facebook and let us know.
