Tesoro: Possible gas contamination at Haleiwa station
Some customers' vehicle impacted; premium, mid-grade gasoline pumps shut down at location
Tesoro Hawaii says there is a possible contamination of its premium 92 octane gasoline that was sold at its Haleiwa gas station.
Tesoro says it is aware that some customers' vehicles have been impacted by the fuel and the company is addressing the issue.
As a precaution, store operators shut down the premium and mid-grade gasoline pumps at that station.
Tesoro believes this is an isolated incident, but a full investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.
The company has received no reports of fuel issues at other retail gasoline locations in the state.
Customers whose vehicles have been impacted by this incident are asked to call (877) 876-5383 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. HST.
