Honolulu Police have opened an assault case after a man in his 20's was stabbed twice in Waikiki.

It happened near the intersection of Kuhio Avenue and Tusitala Street just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning.  The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition, according to EMS. 

The suspect is still on the loose.

Police describe the suspect as an African American man with short, dark hair.  He was last seen wearing dark clothing.
