A Kapahulu man arrested Thursday afternoon for the fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Brent Kanae on Oct. 3 has been charged with murder.
26-year-old Jacob Le was arrested for 2nd degree murder around 3:40 p.m. Thursday and charged withe the offense Friday. He is being held at the HPD main cellblock on $250,000 bail.
Kanae was found bleeding in a makai stairwell near Bubba Gum Shrimp Co. at Ala Moana Center around about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The medical examiner said he died from wounds to his heart and lungs.
Investigators are trying to piece together what led to the attack.
His family said they just returned from a trip to Disneyland the day before.
And it was to be Brent's first day back on the job at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
His mother said since word of his death spread, the family has felt an outpouring of aloha.

The eldest of three children, Brent was remembered as a happy go lucky guy who had a passion for breakdancing.
