Low interest home loans are available from the state to first-time home buyers who meet certain qualifications.

The Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation announced this week that it has $15 million in so-called Hula Mae funds available.

Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae mortgages are available at the low interest rate of 2.95 percent from participating lenders.

Low rate down payment loans are also available.
