Attorney General David Louie and Department of Transportation Director Glenn Okimoto announced today that the State will allow the Haleiwa Farmers’ Market to remain at its present location for two more weeks, through May 27, to facilitate its move to a new location.

Attorney General Louie said, "We are very pleased that we have been able to work cooperatively with HFM to achieve this result. We understand that HFM is very close to finalizing arrangements for its new location, and that some additional time is needed."

"I’m very supportive of our local farmers and vendors, who are an important part of the community and I’m pleased at the efforts that have been made to resolve this situation," said Governor Neil Abercrombie.
