The U.S. Geological Survey says a small earthquake struck on the east coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.
Early Tuesday's magnitude 3.4 earthquake was centered about 2 miles south of Volcano and about 22 miles southwest of Hawaiian Paradise Park. Its depth was more than 2 miles.
The USGS website reports people in Volcano reported weak shaking. There were no immediate reports of damage.
