The state Department of Land and Natural Resources Maui aquatic resources and conservation enforcement staff and Maui County Ocean Safety lifeguards checked Kahana Beach Wednesday and said there was no sign of sharks or anything that could attract them to the area.
The shark warning signs were removed at noon Wednesday and area is open to the public.
This comes a day after a California visitor was bitten by a shark in the calf. She was taken to the hospital by her family.
