Sewage spill warning signs up at Kapalama Canal
Broken sewer line belongs to Hawaii Housing Authority

The Department of Health is asking the public to stay out of Kapalama Canal near Kokea Street and Dillingham Boulevard.
The Clean Water Branch was notified of a broken sewer line that was discharged into a storm drain along Kokea Street that empties into Kapalama Canal.
The sewer line belongs to the Hawaii Housing Authority. The Hawaii Housing Authority has contacted a private contractor and will be repairing the line. The discharge has been stopped and sign have been posted.
The public is advised to remain out of the canal until warning signs have been removed.
