Map of the security zone enforced during the holiday visit of the Obama family.
The coast guard announced that they will be begin enforcing a security zone in Kailua Bay surrounding the holiday home of the Obama family this Friday before and after their yearly visit.
The zone is expected to last until January 6 unless it is cancelled before then.
The security zone will be composed of enforcement officers from the Coast Guard, HPD and Marine Corps Base Hawaii to be supervised by the Secret Service.
The security zone in Kailua Bay is set between Kapoho Point and extends west to the shoreline near Kailuana Loop. It also includes a canal beginning at Kapoho Point.
Yellow and orange markers and buoys will be placed along these areas to indicate that they are part of the security zone.
It is unclear when the Obama's will arrive on Oahu for their annual holiday vacation.
It is believed that the President, along with members of Congress, will not begin their respective vacations until budget reform concerning the fiscal cliff is completed.
