The retail bonanza is now coming to you early!
The retail bonanza is now coming to you early. Retailers are preparing to start the day before Black Friday.
If you want to catch the deals you might have to cut your Thanksgiving dinner short. Black Friday is now Black Thursday for retailers like Walmart and Sears.
Sears manager Gary Yakato said, "It's a first time that we are opening up early, and a lot of people like to get ahead. They want to start early so that they can get their Christmas shopping done."
The competition to make a profit is pushing doors to open at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving night.
"The extra hours will definitely bring income into the company," said Yakato.
And customers said it makes them grab their shopping bags even earlier than the anticipated Friday morning.
"I'm kind of being dragged out a little bit because she wants to go shopping early," said customer Karen Ching.
"You have to come early if you want something because if not you're not going to get it," said shopper Barbara Jojo.
Takara mentions that "electronics is going to have a lot of good deals as well as the small appliances."
However, local stores like Eden In Love are not opening on Thursday. They are trying to cash in on the shopping frenzy too by setting up an additional boutique.
