Police say a man was shot at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot behind Club Rock Za near the Hawaii Convention Center.

Detectives cordoned off the crime scene in the lot between Hawaiian Brian's and Club Rock Za.  They interviewed witnesses and recovered evidence, but police say they did not recover the gun.

According to police, the victim suffered a single gun shot wound.  The gunman fled the scene on foot and has police actively searching for leads.

Police searched the area with their guns drawn, but have not found the gunman.

They say the victim is a man between 55 and 60 years old.  He was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.
