Cecelia and her husband, Froilan Ramirez, had moved to Hawaii to give their children a better life.

“She’s trying to work for her family and how this is what happens to her,” said Quenga as she was wiping away tears.

The family celebrated their youngest daughter's 13th birthday just the night before.  Now, the family is asking the driver of the truck to come forward.

“Please help us because my sister just came from the Philippines last May,” said Quenga.

Police are looking for a compact pickup truck, possibly red in color, the only clue they have in the hit-and-run.

Witnesses to the crash are also being asked to contact police.
