Robbery turns into high speed chase
Police said an alleged robbery that happened on Oahu's North Shore led officers on a high speed chase that ended in Waipahu Tuesday morning.
Police said a man was in custody.
The robbery started near Sharks Cove and a four-door black Nissan Altima led police on a high speed chase through Haleiwa and ended on Farrington Highway in front of Waipahu High School.
The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Joshua Lopes. He faces a robbery charge, a possible firearms charge and multiple traffic violations.
