The Honolulu Police Department is investigating how a 2-month-old child received injuries at a home in Central Oahu.

The infant was brought to the hospital on Monday at around 10 a.m. with injuries that appeared to be suspicious, according to a police report.

The extent of the injuries are pending a through examination.  Further testing is scheduled to be done by hospital physicians.

The cause of the injuries is under investigation.
