Honolulu police are investigating an attempted murder in Palolo Valley.  A 60-year-old man was arrested as a suspect.

Emergency Medical Services officials say a woman in her 50s was hospitalized Monday morning in an apparent stabbing.

Paramedics responded to Maoi Place at around 9 a.m.

The woman was hospitalized in serious condition and later upgraded to fair condition.

Police say the victim is the suspect's sister-in-law.
