HPD has new lead on Kaneohe hit-and-run
The Honolulu Police Department has a new lead on who the driver of the hit-and-run crash in Kaneohe that killed a 38-year-old woman.
Police are now looking for a female who was driving a light-colored SUV.
The driver of the white truck that was seen Tuesday night went to the Kaneohe police substation and his vehicle was cleared, according to Kim Buffett of the Honolulu Police Department.
The woman killed was identified as Lany Salva. Her family says she was walking to her overnight shift at a gas station less than a quarter-mile from the family's home.
The family is pleading with the driver responsible to come forward.
