Honolulu police say a child endangerment case was brought against a pregnant 23-year-old woman who they say was caught in Kalihi smoking a pipe commonly used to smoke crystal methamphetamine.

It happened on Monday at around 7:15 a.m. on Waiakamilo Road, according to the Honolulu Police Department's Facebook post.

An officer was making a check of the area when he came upon three people -- one of them was the pregnant woman.

Police say a 22-year-old man under investigation stood up and pushed one of the officers and took off running.  The man was caught and placed under arrest.

A child endangerment case was initiated and Child Protective Services was notified.
