Honolulu police arrested a 26-year-old man in Waipahu Wednesday night believed to have robbed the Don Quijote store in the area twice this week.
The latest incident happened at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Police say a loss prevention officer saw a suspicious man walking out with liquor without any attempt to pay. The man was recognized from a robbery on Monday night.
When the suspect was confronted, he took out a handgun and pointed it at the loss prevention officer. The man fled the area in a black GMC pickup truck with another man.
Police were called and a 26-year-old man was located several blocks from the crime scene. He was arrested for first-degree robbery and a firearms violation.
On Monday night, two men in their 20s got away with beer from the same Don Quijote store. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.
