Police: Man stabbed on Sheridan St.

HONOLULU -

Police have confirmed one person was stabbed during a brawl among two different groups of two dozen people in the Ala Moana area on Sunday.

A 22-year-old man was taken to the trauma center in serious condition.  

It happened just before 7:10 a.m. on Sheridan Street near McDonald's and Meadow Gold Dairies.

Police were able to break up the fight and arrest a 21-year-old man on an attempted murder charge.

The Honolulu Police Department is looking into the recent incidents to determine whether additional resources are needed in the area at certain times.  The department is also working with the liquor commission to identify and address community concerns.
