Police arrested a 20-year-old Ewa Beach man for second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault in an argument that turned to violence, according to a police report.
The arrest was made just after 6 a.m. Sunday fronting 1518 Makaloa Street in Honolulu.
Detectives say an argument broke out between two groups just before 5:30 a.m. A 21-year-old man struck a 20-year-old woman in the back of the head with a baseball bat, according to police. The woman's boyfriend, who was later arrested, pulled out a knife and stabbed the man with the baseball bat.
Both parties later withdrew their complaints.
