Pedestrian hit by truck in Kailua in guarded condition
Visibility is possible factor in collision
Lt. Bobby Towne of the Honolulu Police Department Traffic Division explains Tuesday's incident in Kailua where a truck hit a pedestrian.
Honolulu police say a 38-year-old woman who was hit by a truck in Kailua was upgraded to guarded condition Tuesday.
It happened around 6:15 a.m. close to 1010 Keolu Drive near the 76 gas station.
Honolulu police say some lanes in the area were closed while officers investigated the cause of the collision.
Investigators say visibility was a possible factor in the collision. The area was still dark at that time of morning.
The lanes were reopened at around 9 a.m.
Police will open a negligent injury case.
