A man is recovering in the hospital this morning after he was hit by a car near the Don Quijote store in town. Emergency officials say the victim -- who is in his 30's -- was struck near the corner of Kaheka and Makaloa Streets around 7-45 last night. Police wouldn't say whether the man was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash. He was taken to Queens hospital in critical condition. The 77 year old driver of the car was not seriously injured.
