Honolulu police said a man was last listed in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle while jaywalking across Farrington Highway near Lualualei Naval Road in Nanakuli Saturday night.
According to traffic investigators, the collision happened just before 10 p.m. on Farrington Highway about 150 feet east of Lualualei Naval Road.
Investigators report that the male pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when he was hit crossing the highway.
He was transported in critical condition following the collision with no update on his status provided. His identity is currently unknown, but Emergency Medical Services officials said he appeared to be in his 30s.
The female driver of the car, from Nanakuli, was not impaired during the collision and did not suffer any injuries.
It is unclear whether the pedestrian was impaired when he was hit by the car.
Both town bound lanes of Farrington Highway were closed for about three hours while police investigated.
