Honolulu police say an officer was hospitalized Wednesday after a motorcycle radiator exploded in the Ala Moana area.
It happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a restaurant on Keeaumoku Street.
The officer stopped a motorcycle for an excessively loud muffler. The motorcycle's radiator exploded spraying anti-freeze on the officer.
The officer was taken to the hospital in good condition. The 29-year-old man who was riding the motorcycle did not have a valid license and was placed under arrest, according to police. Police also say illegal narcotics were also found.
