The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says a 6.7-magnitude earthquake near the Santa Cruz Islands poses no tsunami threat to Hawaii or the Pacific.
The earthquake struck at around 12:17 p.m. Hawaii time 35 miles west-southwest of Lata in the Solomon Islands and northeast of Australia.
