HONOLULU -

The man who died in the first pedestrian traffic fatality on Oahu in 2013 has been identified.

The medical examiner's office says the man was 60-year-old Kirk Bowman of Waianae.

Bowman had been reported as homeless, but the medical examiner said he had a Waianae address.

Bowman's death has been ruled as accidental.  He died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the medical examiner.

Bowman was struck while crossing Farrington Highway in Nanakuli just after 5 a.m. Friday.
