The famous Molokai bread is baking once again after Kanemitsu's Bakery reopened on Friday after passing a health inspection earlier in the morning.
According to the island's only newspaper, The Molokai Dispatch, Department of Health officials gave the OK.
Volunteers and contractors spent about 80 hours making improvements to the bakery since its permit was suspended.
In September, Kanemitsu's Bakery failed its health inspection for a second time after being closed for about three months.
The bakery did correct some of the issues since its June health inspection. But, inspectors said problems like uneven floors and openings in the walls and ceilings still needed to be fixed.
