The Coast Guard intends to continue searching for the pilot and debris until sunset Sunday and then they plan to re-evaluate.

They said there is potential for debris to come on shore from Kahului to Poelua bay. If you find debris on shore they ask that you call 842-2601.
The National Safety Transportation Board is investigating what could have caused the accident.
