Members of New hope speak up. Their church is one of 5 on Oahu slapped with a lawsuit. The group, Hawaii Separation of Church and State accuses them of underpaying to use public school facilities. KITV4's Nana Ohkawa reports. New hope members are rallying around their church. Out of the five churches being sued, three are new hope ministries: New hope Oahu, Hawaii Kai, and Kapolei. New Hope used Farrington High School's auditorium for its weekend services before moving to this location after the auditorium's roof caved in last fall. The lawsuit accuses the churches of avoiding paying 5.6 million dollars to the state. The other two churches being sued are Calvery Chapel Oahu, which rents Kaimuki High School and One Love Ministries, which rents Mililani High School.
