Maui police are looking for a man wanted for manslaughter in the death of his uncle in Wailuku.

At around 2:25 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a homeless encampment at the end of Kaae Road -- an area known as the "Wailuku River Mouth" -- due to four men fighting.

Police found a 52-year-old man unresponsive in a tent.  He was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The investigation revealed the victim was in a verbal argument that became physical with his nephew, identified as 27-year-old Charleston Koko.  Koko resides at another tent at the scene.

Koko is accused of throwing the victim to the ground and mounting him before he was separated by other family members.  Koko then fled the scene and the victim went into his tent and collapsed.

Police say the victim did not have any observable injuries that could reveal a cause of death.  A manslaughter investigation was initiated and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the victim's exact cause of death.

Koko is described at 5-feet-6-inches-tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.  Police say he is homeless and unemployed.
