Maui police looking for Pukalani bank robber
Happened on Thursday just after noon at First Hawaiian Bank on Makawao Ave.
Maui County police are looking for a man who robbed the Pukalani branch of First Hawaiian Bank on Thursday.
It happened at around 12:10 p.m. on Makawao Avenue.
The man showed the teller a demand note and took out what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.
The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The robber is described as a man in his late 30s to early 40s about 5-feet-10-inches-tall to 6-feet-2-inches-tall. He weighs between 180 and 190 pounds. He has fair skin, red hair and a lot of freckles on his face and hands.
The man was last seen wearing a multicolor long-sleeve plaid shirt with a light blue bandana on his head.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and police say do not approach him.
