A Maui police officer indicted on sexual assault charges against a 15-year-old girl plead not guilty Tuesday.

18-year veteran Paul J. Bailey is accused of sexually assaulting the girl on May 21 of this year.

He turned himself into police on June 1 and is currently free on $100,000 bail.  He is on paid administrative leave from the Maui Police Department.

Details on the alleged assault is expected to be released at Bailey's jury trial scheduled to start in August.
