Maui-based Pacific Biodiesel Technologies (PBT) won a 3-year contract to supply biodiesel to a back-up power facility for the HNL International Airport.

It was not disclosed how much the contract was awarded for, but PBT is contracted to supply between 250,000 and a million gallons of biodiesel fuel made from local feedstock.

The biodiesel will be used to generate the airports $20 million generating facility that went online this year.
