Young. A rockslide in Manoa this afternoon injured THREE hikers. The slide happened along the Manoa Tunnel Trail around 2-30 PM. Fire officials say a large rock fell from the mountainside-- then shattered when it hit the ground. A 7-year-old girl hurt her back-- and was air lifted off the trail to Manoa District Park for treatment. A 33-year-old man injured his right leg-- but he managed to walk out of the trail on his own and refused treatment. A 13-year-old girl injured her wrist-- but was also able to walk out. The victims were all visitors to Hawaii. Fire officials say the two young girls were related-- they were both taken to the hospital in SERIOUS condition. 03:29 DLNR AND OFA HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND THEY ARE REPSONDING TO EVALUATE THE AREA Despite the incident ... Officials did not shut down the trail. It's unclear what caused the slide.
