It's not often you get to thank those who helped to save your life. But, on Monday morning, a 62-year-old Manoa resident got the chance to do that.
On Jan. 28, Mark Weidenbach suffered a heart attack in his home, according Emergency Medical Services officials. He was home alone, but managed to call 911.
Paramedic Shinn Suga and EMT Mark Palting responded and were able to provide advanced emergency treatment with rapid transport.
Weidenbach said that he was fortunate he got to the hospital soon enough and he was informed there was either no heart damage or very little heart damage.
Weidenbach got to thank Suga and Palting in person on Monday.
