A man charged in a hit-and-run crash that sent two people to the hospital, one of them in a wheelchair, pleaded not guilty Monday in Circuit Court to the charges against him.
Nainoa-Haaheo Andrade faces two counts of accident injury and a second-degree negligent injury charge after slamming into two bystanders on Kona Street on June 2, 2011.
Prosecutors say Andrade was pulling out of the parking lot of the Bar 7 nightclub at around 2:30 a.m. According to police, he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The vehicle hit a 22-year-old Mililani man in a wheelchair and a 24-year-old woman standing next to him on the sidewalk.ndrade was previously convicted of drunken driving when he was 18 years old.
