Honolulu police said a man was hospitalized in serious, but stable, condition after a stabbing near Mayor Wright Homes in Kalihi.
Investigators said it happened at 1:38 a.m. on the sidewalk near the housing complex.
The victim is said to be in his 20s.
Police arrested one person in connection with the stabbing.
This was the third stabbing in or near the low income housing complex in the past six months.
On Sept. 10, 2011, TJ Mori was killed after authorities say he was stabbed in the back by Takson Krstoth.
In January, a man was stabbed to death and three others were injured after an argument broke out within the complex.
Just last month, the state hired a new security unit in an effort to beef up the security and safety in the area.
The new security team brought five guards that stand watch 24 hours, 7 days a week to protect the 1,100 residents that live in the complex.
