A man who pleaded guilty to firing a gun in a road rage incident on the H-1 Freeway in February was sentenced Wednesday.
66-year-old Douglas Freeman admitted to being drunk and acting recklessly when he fired two shots at the 23-year-old driver of another car who he said cut him off on the H-1 in Aiea on Feb. 24.
In a plea deal, the prosecution dropped a terroristic threatening charge which would have carried a mandatory prison sentence.
Freeman was credited for serving 5 days in prison and was sentenced to 5 years probation.
He also has to pay $25,000 in restitution.
