A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and first-degree negligent injury has been released pending investigation.

Police say Jace Ribeiro was driving a car that hit a guard rail and spun out near Yokohama Bay in Leeward Oahu early Friday morning.

Investigators say speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

A 17-year-old boy was ejected and was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
