Big Island police arrested a man and a woman last Saturday in Hilo for having sex in public.

Dylan Trask Whelden, 35, and Yvette Butterfield, 45, were taken into custody on county property at the intersection of Ponahawai Street and Kamehameha Avenue.

The couple was charged with open lewdness and bail was set at $1,000 each.

Last month, Whelden was arrested for the same charge in Kona with a different woman.
