Honolulu police arrested a 38-year-old man in Kalihi for assault in the second degree accused of throwing a frying pan at a 6-year-old boy causing a fracture.

It happened on Monday at around 7 p.m.

Police say the suspect and victim live in the same household.

The man was released and the case was passed on to the state.
