Honolulu police say a 37-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder and other charges after officers say he damaged military property with his vehicle.

It happened on Sunday just after 12:45 a.m. in the Ewa Beach area.

Police say the victim was standing across the street when he told the man to stop.  The suspect then tried to run the 29-year-old man over.

The suspect crashed into a parked vehicle and fled on foot.  The suspect was arrested just before 1 a.m.
