A Honolulu based meat company is recalling 4,100 lbs of ground beef after the meat was found to be possibly contaminated with E. coli.
The possibly contaminated beef was sold in 10 lbs bag of "ground beef bulk," which are normally sold one to six bags per carton/crate.
Each case bears the establishment number "EST. 12457M" inside the USDA mark of inspection, as well as the identifying case code number: "291." The products were produced on Oct. 17 and were distributed to restaurants around Oahu.
The problem was discovered by FSIS after the products testing positive for E. coli O157:H7 had been shipped prior to the company receiving test results.
