Kurtistown Krauses charged with murder

Big Island police have charged two men in in connection with the disappearance of 44-year-old Dante Peter Gilman of Hawaiian Acres, who was reported missing on Jan. 10.
Kawena Krause, 19, of Kurtistown was charged at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree theft and use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony.
30-year-old Claude Keone Krause was also charged in this case on Saturday at 11:20 a.m. with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree theft, two counts of ownership/possession of a firearm prohibited, and use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony.
At last check with Big Island police, detectives did not find a body in the case.
The Krauses remain in police custody with no bail pending their initial court appearance on Tuesday.
