Maui County fire officials said the brush fire in Kula is now 100 percent contained, but not yet called extinguished.
Crews are on the scene extinguishing hot spots in the burned area.
The damage estimate to a home on Cooke Road, where the roof caught on fire, is $50,000. The two other structures threatened did not sustain monetary damage.
Fire officials said crews did an outstanding job in protecting these structures and saving them from the approaching brush fire.
Strong winds and accidental electrical activity in the transmission lines may have started the brush fire on Monday, according to fire officials.
