Kili Drive in Makaha reopened

16-inch water main break temporarily shut down road

Kili Drive in Makaha has finally reopened, but motorists are advised to drive with caution.

The Board of Water Supply was forced to shut down Kili Drive in both directions Saturday morning because of flooding and debris in the road.

Officials say the water main break is located somewhere off-road in Makaha Valley, but is draining water onto Kili Drive and into the ocean.

The break was reported at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.  Although the road has been reopened, crews will work on the broken pipe through the evening.
